Their systems, components, and the entire charging infrastructure surrounding them are undoubtedly a major target for cybercriminals. Understanding all the risks involved is vital to securing and leading the way toward the future of mobility. That is why Grupo CYBENTIA, in collaboration with EUROCYBCAR’s Technical Division, is launching the world’s first course exclusively focused on the cybersecurity of electric vehicles.
The high level of connectivity between electric vehicles and their surroundings, the large number of technologies and systems they incorporate, and their relationship with charging infrastructure are factors that make cybersecurity in electric vehicles a vital issue for the future of mobility. Gaining an in-depth understanding of the risks involved—ranging from the theft of banking information to remote overheating or intentional battery degradation—and learning how to prevent or mitigate them: that is the purpose of the “Cybersecurity Course for Electric Vehicles.”
The “Cybersecurity Course for Electric Vehicles” has been developed to gradually provide students with knowledge about the automotive industry, regulations, and cybersecurity. It details all the technologies used in electric vehicles and their charging points and analyzes all aspects related to the vehicle’s communication with its environment. In addition, it provides an in-depth examination of the main attack vectors and the types of attacks that can affect them, as well as the most relevant measures that must be taken to protect the vehicle from these risks.
The training is delivered online and consists of a total of 35 hours of content, divided into six audiovisual modules and reading materials, which break down in detail all the key aspects of cybersecurity related to electric vehicles.
