Nuuk CargoPro: The Story of the World’s First Motorcycle to Earn a “Cybersecure Vehicle” Certification

After passing the EUROCYBCAR Test evaluation, NUUK Mobility Solutions earned the world’s first “Cybersecure Vehicle” certification for its CargoPro model… and, together with EUROCYBCAR, made automotive history.

The Basque company NUUK Mobility Solutions (NMS)—which develops and markets mobility solutions using smart light electric vehicles—became, in 2022, the first automotive firm in the world to obtain, together with AENOR, a EUROCYBCAR “cybersecure vehicle” certificate for one of its models. This test complied with the requirements of the UNECE/R155 regulation. Specifically, it involved the Cargopro model, a vehicle designed especially for logistics and package delivery, always with sustainability in mind. In fact, in recent years, Correos has purchased hundreds of units of this model, breaking records for a public tender for electric vehicles in Spain.

Once again, NMS sought to be a pioneer and subjected its Cargopro model to EUROCYBCAR’s ESTP technology, which evaluates and certifies a vehicle’s cybersecurity level in accordance with the requirements of the UNECE/R155 regulation. EUROCYBCAR is a technology-based company, also headquartered in the Basque Country, that developed and patented the first cybersecurity test for vehicles.
