CICERO

Project description

The widespread adoption of information and telecommunications technologies is changing the way we relate to and interact with one another.

In addition to numerous benefits, this has led to an increase in the risks associated with the adoption of new technologies, primarily those generated by information security threats—or cyberthreats—that jeopardize growth, sustainability, and our way of life.

These factors explain the need to maintain the same pace of innovation in cybersecurity in order to adopt new technologies without exceeding an acceptable level of risk, while also addressing new threats.

When investing in technologies, organizations must make a commensurate investment in cybersecurity so that the risks associated with their implementation do not negate the expected benefits.

This dual nature of cybersecurity—as an essential technology for protecting our society and ensuring digital autonomy, and as a growing market—makes it so important that most governments identify it as a priority objective.

Project scope

Threat and Vulnerability Identification: Cyber intelligence to identify vulnerabilities and risk analysis methods.

Network Protection through Authentication and Authorization: Improving the resilience of information systems and data networks against cyberattacks.

Anomaly Detection in Data Networks and AI Systems: Developing technologies that enable the detection of suspicious events in systems and data networks.

Security incident response and recovery: Research into technologies that enable the isolation and containment of compromised systems.
