Project description

As digital systems become more complex and increasingly rely on third-party components, ensuring their security becomes more difficult, especially in the era of generative AI. In this context, the EU-funded SECASSURED project will develop AI-based tools for assurance-oriented security engineering. Its goal is to help developers integrate software, hardware, and even AI components securely and in compliance with constantly evolving European regulations. The project offers virtual environments for automated security assessments and a comprehensive toolkit for continuous, assurance-oriented security engineering across the entire supply chain. By enabling secure integration and regulatory compliance from the outset, SECASSURED helps build more resilient digital infrastructures, prepared to withstand cyber and hybrid threats.

Project scope

SECASSURED enables system integrators to securely assemble complex systems composed of heterogeneous hardware and software components. By providing system-level security modeling, threat simulation, and continuous assurance, this project facilitates regulatory compliance and reduces security risks associated with integration.

Security and protection for end users increase their trust by ensuring that products and services are thoroughly evaluated for security, privacy, and resilience. Continuous testing and assurance reduce exposure to known vulnerabilities and help deliver more secure and reliable digital services.
