After a process lasting more than five years, one of the inventions set to most profoundly change the automotive industry has been granted an international patent: we’re referring to EUROCYBCAR’s ESTP Technology.
The automotive industry is a constant source of innovation, discoveries, and new technologies… and, as a result, it naturally leads to a high number of patents filed by those who invent something that can help improve the automotive world. Companies like Bosch and Toyota lead the way in this regard, and it’s rare for a year to go by without them filing hundreds of such patents.
However, it is worth noting that 2025 went down in history because a patent was granted to a Spanish company whose invention will contribute significantly to improving the privacy and security of the hundreds of millions of people who get into a vehicle every day.
The Director of the United States Patent and Trademark Office made the announcement: “The patent for the ‘System for the Inspection, Evaluation, and Diagnosis of Vehicle Cybersecurity Levels’ has been granted to the ‘ESTP Methodology,’ invented by Azucena Hernández, CEO and founder of the technology company EUROCYBCAR, based in Vitoria-Gasteiz.”
